Prickles & Presents grew from our love of hedgehogs and a desire to find another way to support the work we do at both sites for Northwich Hedgehog Rescue.
What started as a simple idea — selling lovely gifts and things for the home while raising money for the rescue — became Prickles & Presents.
100% of our profits go directly to Northwich Hedgehog Rescue, helping us provide food, medication, veterinary care, equipment and all the everyday essentials needed to care for the hedgehogs that come through our doors.
From presents to prickles
Hedgehogs have a habit of taking over your heart — and, in our case, quite a lot of our lives too!
Through running Northwich Hedgehog Rescue, we see first-hand just how much care goes into helping a sick, injured or orphaned hedgehog recover and, whenever possible, return to the wild.
Running a rescue also means a constant need for food, medication, veterinary treatment, equipment and supplies. We wanted to find another way to help fund that work — something sustainable that could also bring a little happiness to other people.
And that’s where Prickles & Presents came in.
By bringing together our love of hedgehogs with lovely gifts and things for the home, we’ve created a shop where every order has a little extra meaning.

Every order from Prickles & Presents helps support the day-to-day work of Northwich Hedgehog Rescue. From something as simple as a bowl of specialist food to medication, veterinary treatment and the supplies needed to prepare a hedgehog for release, every purchase helps us keep doing what we do.
